The process of disposal of the ashes of a loved one is called cremation scattering. The ashes are from the process of cremation which is a way of sending off a deceased. Usually the deceased may have written a will and the method they prefer the ashes to be scattered.

Before settling for an area a few things have to be looked into. Public places may not be the best choice if any future visitations are to be made. This is because they may be restricted areas in the future and the family members may not be able to access the place.

If in a fix the counsel of funeral directors may be sought. They have all the information that may be of help in arriving at the decision. Moreover they most probably have enough experience on the question of disposal of loved ones. Their role will only be to give guidance so that the close people to the deceased will make a choice.

Places that remind the family and friends of the deceased may be the right place. It may be on the flower bed next to their favorite hangout spot or it may on a tree or bush that they planted when they were alive. The loved ones should be ok with this choice so as to avoid any differences. This place has to be the right place for memories.

The actual cremation scattering may be done in several ways. Raking the ashes into the ground is one of these and so is scattering the ashes into the air. Sometimes it is one person who scatters the ashes and in other situations it is done in bits as a group. All in all the people who were close to the departed have to be comfortable with the choices made.
