Ormond Beach, Florida's Sunrise Aviation flight school has been approved by the Republic of Panama to train that country's pilots. Sunrise Aviation, though its affiliate company known as the International Flight Training Center, has been approved by Panama since 1999 to conduct flight training for students from Panama. With better aviation prospects in Latin, South America and that country, Sunrise Aviation will see a surge in the number of trainees from these parts of the world.

Sunrise Aviation has enrolled students from Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil and other Latin and South American countries since 1999. Graduates of Sunrise Aviation are now flying for airlines in many of those countries. Some of the Sunrise Aviation graduates, have secured jobs in areas like Middle East or India where there is shortage of experienced airline pilots. Hundreds of graduates of Central Florida's, Sunrise Aviation are working globally as pilots.

A strong demand for aircraft purchase in both the corporate and airline segment is seen in the growth figures released for Latin America and South America. Many more pilots will be hired in these regions during the next few years as a result of this.

Ormond Beach, Florida's Sunrise Aviation has been operating out of the city's Municipal Airport since 1983. Over the past few years, so many students from around the world in more then 50 countries have come to their pilot training programs. Presently, students coming from Yemen, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India, and Egypt. Other countries which have approved Sunrise Aviation to train their pilots are Tunisia, Turkey, France and Spain. Sunrise Aviation was Currently Given the Honor as Florida State College's Primary Vendor at Jacksonville Flight School. The FAA has approved the use of Sunrise Aviations use of the Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Devices. Florida State College at Jacksonville (otherwise know as FSCJ) gives approved FAA courses. The recent acquisition of four Redbird LD AATD's was made by Florida State College at Jacksonville was for the use of their students. Based at Cecil Airport, Sunrise Aviation are contractors that specialise in flight training for Florida State College.
